Ben Jackson (52), a Marketing Director, moved into his new home at Watermill Green in November to be closer to his children in Stotfold.

When asked why he chose a new-build home, Ben said: “I’ve always liked the idea that you’re the first person living in it. You can just move in with no further work needed. My last three purchased homes have all been new builds because of this.”

In fact, Ben has been a customer of Taylor Wimpey before, and lived at our Beauchamp Mill development in Stotfold back in 2015. He said: “The last home I purchased was a Taylor Wimpey home, the build quality was really good and we had little issues moving in which made me want to return to Taylor Wimpey as I’ve also had a bad purchasing experience with another developer with my first home.”

Shelford house type

Ben had been temporarily living in a rented property in St Neots while searching for his new home when he came across Watermill Green after driving past it to pick his children up from school. He said: “I’ve always thought the houses look really nice. Their designs are contemporary and modern, which is exactly what I was looking for.”

Since moving in, Ben’s chosen house type, the four bedroom Shelford, has been perfect for his family, he said: “The layout is really nice and the open plan dining room and kitchen is a lovely space for when I’m cooking and my children are around. The house has a really good, clean build quality and the decor looks great too.”

Now that he’s settled in at Watermill Green, Ben has been enjoying the local area. He said: “I’m within walking distance to my children’s school. There’s quite a lot to do in Stotfold despite it being a small, rural town - the facilities are great and the schools are excellent, my children are currently attending one of them.”
