We donated £250 to Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity

We have gifted London based Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity a £250 donation which will go towards a second incubator to care for premature babies with patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) - a congenital heart defect that affects around 50% of premature babies. The incubator will be placed at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, which is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK.

Charlotte Coldrey, Community & Events Fundraising Officer at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity, said: “We could not continue our services without donations like this one from Taylor Wimpey. On behalf of everyone at the hospital, I would like to say a big thank you for their support.”

Tina Chalk, Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “We are proud to have donated £250 to Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity who play such an important role in raising money for vital resources.”

We are proud to donate £250 to the Disabled Living Foundation

We have donated £250 to Wandsworth-based charity Disabled Living Foundation, as part of the ongoing charitable initiative which encourages visitors to Osiers Point to vote for one of three local good causes to receive a £250 boost each month. Disabled Living Foundation received the most votes throughout the month of August and have been crowned the most recent winner.

Disabled Living Foundation has been offering impartial advice, information and training on daily living equipment and assistive technology to disabled and older people, as well as their families and carers, since 1969. The charity provides a range of services, including a helpline and extensive online resources, which encourage and support independent living.

Amanda Shiel, Knowledge Manager at Disabled Living Foundation, said: “We don’t receive any government funding and rely on the subscribers to our valuable services and the many professionals working in health and social care who attend our training courses - not to mention the kind generosity of the public. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey - and everyone who voted for us - for their support. Taylor Wimpey’s donation will go towards expanding our library of advice pages and factsheets.”

Will Phair, Sales Manager at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “The Disabled Living Foundation provides much needed support for people with a disability and we hope our donation will go some way towards helping the charity to maintain the vital services they offer.”
