We’ve supported Bordon Men’s Shed by funding them to build a new bench for the local community.
The Med’s Shed is a community committed to tackling loneliness by providing a communal space where men can gather to socialise, learn new skills and pursue practical projects.
Members frequently participate in a range of community projects, such as mending or woodworking, which are supported by local funding.
Our donation has funded a new outdoor bench for a Bordon charity, the Kingsley Organisation, which is dedicated to empowering adults with learning disabilities through inclusive and accessible community services.
The bench was installed in May, which is widely recognised as Mental Health Awareness month, and is designed to encourage conversation to combat loneliness.
Clive Handy, Secretary of Bordon Men’s Shed, said: “On behalf of Bordon Men’s Shed, thank you to Taylor Wimpey for investing in our community.
“Bordon Men’s Shed is increasingly vital in combating male loneliness, helping people to socialise and pursue practical projects. Taylor Wimpey’s support has made it possible for our community to come together and build a new bench to encourage connection.”

This award winning new community will provide a wealth of new facilities for residents including a new town centre, leisure centre, cinema and schools. Following the success of our two phases we are delighted to continue to grow this community.
We made a toy donation to a toddler group in Bordon
Based at local community hub, The Shed, Toddler Tuesdays provides a safe space for parents and toddlers to get stuck into a variety of activities and projects such as arts and crafts sessions, cake decorating, soft play and movie sessions, at no cost to them.The team at Taylor Wimpey South Thames chose to make a construction-themed donation of toys. Some of the toys purchased include toy trucks and diggers, toy hammers and even PPE items such as hard hats and hi vis vests.
Dayne Cartwright, Managing Director at The Shed said: “We want to thank Taylor Wimpey for this generous donation. We were in need of new toys and to see the reaction of the children at the playgroup once the new toys arrived made it so worthwhile.
“The kids were so happy and feedback from parents has been great. We look forward to seeing how much fun they have with their new toys. ”

We bring new stories to Bordon school
We made a £250 donation to Bordon Junior School. The donation was organised in celebration of World Book Day, held on Thursday 5th March, and has allowed the school to refresh the shelves in its library with a range of new books for its pupils.Nida Salahat, Assistant Headteacher at Bordon Junior School, said: “We’re so grateful for the donation from Taylor Wimpey. It was wonderful to see the pupils' reactions when the new books arrived. Reading is essential for everyone here at Bordon Junior School. It inspires creativity and curiosity, and this donation has been a fantastic boost for both our staff and pupils.”

Showing our support for Bordon’s Armed Forces
Whitehill Town Council held a Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday 22 June 2026 as part of Armed Forces Week, to pay tribute and show respect and support to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
The ceremony opened with a performance by the The Sacred Heart Pipe Band, followed by addresses from both the Town Crier, Stuart Morrison and Town Mayor, Councillor Leeroy Scott.
Representatives from the Royal British Legion and REME association were invited to raise the Armed Forces Flag in tribute. This was followed by a one-minute silence to honour the community, and then closed with a final performance by The Sacred Heart Pipe Band.
Residents, schools and local organisations were all in attendance, paying tribute to past and present service personnel, their partners and families.
To show our support, we helped to fund light refreshments following the ceremony to allow the community to come together in reflection and connection.
Councillor Leeroy Scott, Mayor of Whitehill Town Council said: “On behalf of Whitehill Town Council and the local community, thank you to Taylor Wimpey for supporting our recent ceremony.
“It is so important to bring people together to recognise the invaluable contribution that Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families make to our communities.”
