We have continued our sponsorship of St Albans City Youth FC for the next two yearsWe help Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School fundraise for safer outdoor playing
We have donated £1,000 towards Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School’s fundraising efforts to update its outdoor play area which has been damaged by harsh weather conditions and is in a much needed update to become safer and more accessible for young children to play in.Our donation was split between presents to give out to children attending Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School’s Breakfast with Santa event which took place on Sunday, 15th December and raffle prizes for a Christmas raffle draw which happened on Wednesday, 18th December.
The Breakfast with Santa event treated the attending children with a variety of creative activities including making decorated 2025 wreath calendars, creating reindeer food, decorating and eating pancakes and Christmas biscuits, and drafting letters for Santa. The event then closed off with a visit from Santa who presented each child with one of the gifts that we helped to fund, and then a party with Christmas songs and dancing.
With the help of our donation, the school were able to purchase a selection of prizes to put on offer at the raffle draw, including both adult and children’s hampers, and vouchers for local eateries, shops, salons, fun activities and days out.
Roxanne Speede, Headteacher at Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School, said: “Acorn Playgroup and Preschool would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their extremely generous gift to our school. This will make a huge difference to our setting and our children and we are very grateful for your support.”
Paresh Pandya, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Taylor Wimpey North Thames, said: “We’re delighted to have supported Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School with its fundraising activities this Christmas. We hope that our donation will help them take another step towards its goal to give its outdoor play area a much-needed revamp.”
Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School, which is located in Welwyn, is a small school of 30 children ages two to five, so relies on donations and fundraising to fund projects like its outdoor play area renovation. Our donation is part of our ongoing commitment to support local schools and give back to the communities local to our developments.

We Support Sustainability at Goatfest 2024
Now in its 15th year, the three-day festival took place from 23rd to 25th August and featured non-stop live music including performances from headliners Fuse ODG, Tunde of Lighthouse Family, star of The Greatest Showman, Keala Settle, and more. On top of this, there were a variety of activities for festival attendees to take part in, including a children’s cinema showing, dance workshop and a morning yoga session for the campers and glampers.
Goatfest saw a footfall of over 2,500 people this year. Our sponsorship was part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the Codicote community and was used to fund the festival’s recyclable cups.
Rowan Patel, Founder of Goatfest said: “As a self-funded grassroots event, the support received from Taylor Wimpey was invaluable for this year’s event. Sustainability is a big priority for us and for Taylor Wimpey to get behind this issue and support our reusable cup initiative is a real positive. The opportunity also allowed us to raise additional money for our chosen Charity Partner, Willow Foundation, by asking for a £1 donation from customers per cup, with all proceeds being given directly to the charity. We’re hoping our relationship with Taylor Wimpey will continue for many years to come as we continue to grow Goatfest.”

We Sponsor Codicote Village Day 2024
We sponsored a stunt performance with a £750 donation at this year's Codicote Village Day.
The annual non-profit event took place on Saturday 20th July in Codicote village, allowing local businesses, organisations and causes to raise money for their services while also providing the community with an exciting and fun-packed day.
Codicote Village Day started with a parade of majorettes and floats from local groups themed around television advertisements, and the event was opened by Britain’s Got Talent star Immi Davis and the Village Day King and Queen. Visitors then enjoyed an assortment of fun activities, games, a funfair, food stalls, beer and tea tents, live music, crafts and more throughout the day.
This afternoon event saw a footfall of over 3,000 visitors and our sponsorship helped to fund a thrilling performance by the Savage Skills Mountain Bike Stunt Team.
Sarah Tobin, Codicote Village Day Press Officer, said: “We were happy to welcome so many existing and new residents to our event to celebrate our special community. Thank you to all our sponsors, including Taylor Wimpey, and the local businesses, organisations and causes who came together to make this day happen.”

Taylor Wimpey North Thames has donated £1,000 to 1st Codicote Scout Group as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its development’s local communities.The 1st Codicote Scout Group is part of the Scouts Mid Herts District which aims to help young people between the ages of 6 and 18 reach their full potential by developing lifelong qualities and skills. Based in Codicote, the scout group is local to the housebuilder’s recently launched developments, The Heath and The Vale.
Christine Whitbread, Group Scout Leader at 1st Codicote Scout Group said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation which will be put towards heating the scout hut where much of the activities we provide take place as well as first response courses for all Hertfordshire section leaders.”

We have renewed our sponsorship for St Albans City Youth Football Club for another two years, gifting £700 towards away kits for the Under 15’s South Boys team.St Albans City Youth Football Club is one of the largest football clubs in the country, with 100 teams and 1,300 players. The club provides football training to young people living in St Albans and the surrounding areas.
