We give boost to Girlguiding district centre
We have helped to maintain the Girlguiding Guessens’ district centre with a £1,500 donation towards the running costs and improvements of the building.Girlguiding Guessens is the district organisation of Girlguiding for Codicote, Digswell, Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City (West), consisting of 18 units. Girlguiding is the largest youth organisation in the UK for girls and young women ages 4 to 18 and offers them life changing experiences and lifelong memories, giving them the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, and make an impact on their local community.
Our donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding our Codicote developments. The funds will be used to maintain the building as well as refurbishing its loft space with new shelving and cupboards, so that the Girlguiding Guessens can continue to provide its members with a suitable environment for meetings and activities.

We Sponsor Codicote Village Day 2024
We sponsored a stunt performance with a £750 donation at this year's Codicote Village Day.The annual non-profit event took place on Saturday 20th July in Codicote village, allowing local businesses, organisations and causes to raise money for their services while also providing the community with an exciting and fun-packed day.
Codicote Village Day started with a parade of majorettes and floats from local groups themed around television advertisements, and the event was opened by Britain’s Got Talent star Immi Davis and the Village Day King and Queen. Visitors then enjoyed an assortment of fun activities, games, a funfair, food stalls, beer and tea tents, live music, crafts and more throughout the day.
This afternoon event saw a footfall of over 3,000 visitors and our sponsorship helped to fund a thrilling performance by the Savage Skills Mountain Bike Stunt Team.
Sarah Tobin, Codicote Village Day Press Officer, said: “We were happy to welcome so many existing and new residents to our event to celebrate our special community. Thank you to all our sponsors, including Taylor Wimpey, and the local businesses, organisations and causes who came together to make this day happen.”

Taylor Wimpey North Thames has donated £1,000 to 1st Codicote Scout Group as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting its development’s local communities.The 1st Codicote Scout Group is part of the Scouts Mid Herts District which aims to help young people between the ages of 6 and 18 reach their full potential by developing lifelong qualities and skills. Based in Codicote, the scout group is local to the housebuilder’s recently launched developments, The Heath and The Vale.
Christine Whitbread, Group Scout Leader at 1st Codicote Scout Group said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation which will be put towards heating the scout hut where much of the activities we provide take place as well as first response courses for all Hertfordshire section leaders.”

We continue our sponsorship of St Albans City Youth FC
We have renewed our sponsorship for St Albans City Youth Football Club for another two years, gifting £700 towards away kits for the Under 15’s South Boys team.St Albans City Youth Football Club is one of the largest football clubs in the country, with 100 teams and 1,300 players. The club provides football training to young people living in St Albans and the surrounding areas.
Our sponsorship is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sports and young talent in the local area.

We encouraged sustainability and reduced plastic waste as Goatfest’s Recyclable Cups Sponsor for the second year running with a £1,980 donation.Now in its 16th year, the three-day festival took place from 22nd to 24th August and featured non-stop live music including performances from headliners Boney M, DJ Spoony, The AC/DC Show tribute act, The Dominos, The Soul Strutters, and more.
Goatfest saw a footfall of over 2,500 people this year. Our sponsorship was part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding The Heath and The Vale, and was used to fund the festival’s recyclable cups.
Hannah Patel from the event operations team at Goatfest team said: “This year’s festival was a fantastic success. It was brilliant to see the local community thoroughly enjoying themselves in the sunshine, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to sing and dance.
