We are preparing an outline planning application for approximately 350 new homes on land off Main Road, Hawkwell.

Our proposed development will have a mix of high quality homes, of which 50% will be affordable housing. The new development will also include areas of green space.

A new facility for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is also proposed, in partnership with Zenith Multi Academy Trust.

It is important that we listen to the views of the local community while preparing our proposal.

Our consultation will run from 28th April to 11th May 2025. We will be holding a public information session in the sports hall at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre, Belchamps Holyoak Lane, Hockley SS5 4JD from 3pm to 7pm on 28th April 2025.

You can view the plans online from the start of the consultation period. Following consideration and detailed review of the feedback that we receive, we hope to submit an outline application to Rochford District Council in May 2025.
