Youngsters get creative for Easter bonnet competition
When we decided to launch an Easter bonner competition in Pool-in-Wharfedale, little did we know how popular it would be, with a steady stream of entries from local youngsters.
We reached out to local children and village groups who were more than happy to take up the challenge. We provided the bonnets and everyone who went along to our marketing suite at Stanhope Fields with their creation received an Easter egg.
Our Sales and Marketing Director Lucinda Dickens said: “We opened the competition to the community for the children to get involved. We were thrilled at the reaction we had, with special thanks to the Post Office and the local church who helped to promote it. The competition really snowballed with their support.
“It is important to us that we work with local communities where we build and it was wonderful to have such an enthusiastic response. The children clearly had a lot of fun.”
