The community at The Atrium, Overstone is incredibly warm and welcoming. We recently held a 'Meet the residents event' at the development which was a great success as existing residents could meet potential purchasers and find out what it's like to live here. Whether you're young first time buyers or a family wanting to settle down with your growing family, you'll fit right in with the kind neighbours - there's even a neighbourhood group chat to join!
We are coming to the end of the first phase homes so many of the streets have happy home owners moved in and enjoying what the area has to offer. Our second phase is now on sale and occupies a larger area so plenty more opportunity for meeting new people and building on the established feel.

Couple fall in love with new Taylor Wimpey home just in time for baby’s arrival
With a home move on the horizon, Beth (29) and Callum (31) were originally looking for a renovation project but after discovering the exciting news they were expecting their first baby, they decided to reconsider.“We were initially looking for a renovation project and had visited a number of properties on the market - and that's when we found out I was pregnant. We had a serious discussion about whether it was the right time to take on a project and decided to dip our toe into the world of new-builds so we wouldn’t have to worry about anything once we’d moved in.”
With the decision made, Beth discovered Taylor Wimpey’s Atrium at Overstone development. Beth said: “I came to view the show homes on my own one afternoon and immediately fell in love with everything about them, as well as the wider site and a specific plot. I couldn’t wait to tell Callum all about it!
She continued: “I was instantly impressed with the Taylor Wimpey team, too. The welcome from the staff really put me at ease and I felt that they genuinely listened to everything I told them in terms of our position and requirements. The houses themselves were beautiful, with space both inside and out. Overall, the experience was spot-on from day one.
“I asked Callum to come back with me the next day to see the show home and the plot and I can safely say every time we visited we fell in love with the place over again.”
The couple selected a Trusdale home, a four bedroom detached property, situated on a corner plot and directly opposite green space. It boasts a garage and a driveway, something the couple appreciate having only had parking on a busy street with their previous home.
“We really liked the Trusdale design - mostly the fact there was a bedroom for us, a baby room, a spare room, and an office space as I work from home frequently. We loved the utility as this was something that was on our wish list, the kitchen diner is stunning and just the general space you get in this house is incredible. The en-suite off the master bedroom is lovely, too. We basically fell in love with everything in the house!”
As they prepare to welcome their new arrival, the couple are now happily moved in and enjoying their new space and surroundings. Beth added: “We absolutely love it here – the location is perfect – we are on the outskirts of the town in between little villages but close enough that we have anything we need in the town centre within a short drive. We have got ample space and the neighbours are all lovely.”
The couple also credit the Taylor Wimpey team for helping them with their move during an exciting, but busy, period of change in their life.
“The whole house buying process has been made so easy and I cannot fault the support we have had from the members of the team on site. The sales team in the office have been absolutely fantastic in guiding us through the purchase process from start to finish, and Susie really took it upon herself to make it as easy as possible. She genuinely cared about us and the experience we were having, and we knew we could rely on her implicitly to handle things which was just amazing, especially when pregnant.”
“The builders have been fantastic from the day we moved in, they visit us regularly to check we are happy and they are so helpful and most importantly, efficient. Everything is finished to a really high standard and we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome or more at ease by the team.”
First time buyers embrace spacious living at Taylor Wimpey’s Atrium development
First time buyers Ieuan (35) and Angelika (32) are settling into their new Taylor Wimpey home at the Atrium at Overstone, having moved from a rental property in Milton Keynes with their seven year old daughter. The couple are expecting their second child in a few weeks and are thrilled with the space in their new home.
When looking for our new home, we knew we wanted to move out of Milton Keynes and found that we would also get a lot more for our money outside the city. With this - and our need for a change of scenery - we found Overstone and Taylor Wimpey's Atrium development.
“It’s such a lovely village with lots of open spaces, country parks, reservoirs, good schools and good transport links. Another benefit is its proximity to one of my favourite golf courses, Overstone Park Golf Club!
“We looked at several developments in the area but were really impressed with the customer service from Taylor Wimpey. The house type we liked, the Trusdale, also ticked all of our boxes.”
The Trusdale, a four-bedroom detached home, boasts plenty of space and the couple felt it would accommodate their growing family for many years to come.
“We wanted to buy a home that we could live in for many years to come - without running out of space. Four bedrooms was a must, to accommodate not only our seven year old, but our second child, too.
“It was also important for us to have a spare room for family and friends who are visiting. As a family, we love socialising and having friends over for dinner and drinks and so wanted a great entertaining space, the Trusdale offers this in abundance with the downstairs layout - the kitchen dinner is our favourite place.”
The family is settling in well to the neighbourhood.
“The Atrium is so peaceful and everyone we have spoken to is lovely, it is a really welcoming community. We also like that there are children out playing together, which is something we hope ours can join in with soon and in the years ahead. It takes us back to our own childhood memories of playing outside.”
“We absolutely love our life in our new home and we are just so excited for our family to grow here.”
Commenting on the service they received from the Taylor Wimpey team, they concluded: “The whole process was easy and stress free, and I solely put this down to the people. Susie and the sales team are just simply amazing and the site managers Neil and Stuart helped us to understand the property as well. We also really appreciated how the team checked in on us on a weekly basis to ensure everything was okay and whether they can support us with anything, always going above and beyond.”

The team at The Atrium at Overstone work together to make sure every aspect of the homebuying journey is as smooth as it can possibly be.
Susie, one of Sales Executives, joined Taylor Wimpey in 2011, having moved from Ireland to Northamptonshire. She has worked in Milton Keynes for six years, Woodford Halse for four years and has been part of The Atrium team since it opened in October 2022.
Susie said: “I joined Taylor Wimpey as I love meeting new people - the people you meet along the way is definitely a highlight for me. It’s a very interesting role. Property is also a passion of mine so that helps! My main responsibility is welcoming our new customers to the development and helping them find their perfect home - I guide them through the process until they get the keys and move in. The Atrium at Overstone has the best of both worlds for our customers - it’s a pretty place but also close to an array of amenities. I really enjoy showing customers around here.”
Stuart Smith, Assistant Site Manager said: “I joined Taylor Wimpey nine years ago and have been working at The Atrium since it opened last year. As Assistant Site Manager, my main responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day running of the site and visiting specific plots with our customers to show them their new home in progress - something I really enjoy.
Stuart has lots of experience on site, having worked on many other Taylor Wimpey developments, including Chestnut Grove in Brackley and Vision at Whitehouse in Milton Keynes. Sports kit sponsorship
We recently made a donation to nearby Northampton School to provide the sponsorship for their Netball kit.
The school, which is near to our Atrium at Overstone development, received a £380 donation towards new kits for the U12 Netball team who will compete against local schools with the possibility of qualifying for the national competition.
Northampton School is a co-educational, 11-16, state-funded secondary Free School which is located to the north-east of Northampton town.
Gary Burton, School Trust Director of Sport at Northampton School, said: “We are thrilled to have Taylor Wimpey sponsor our U12 netball kit. This donation has allowed the school to purchase a quality kit to allow the students to perform at their best and maintain the high standards of the school.
