Family find forever home at Glenvale Park
Karen Leveridge, 43, and her daughters, Alyssa, 13, and Kaycie, 16, are enjoying life in their dream family home at Taylor Wimpey’s Glenvale Park development in Wellingborough.
Already living locally in the area, Karen knew exactly where she wanted to settle with her family. Karen said: “After a relationship breakdown I was living in rented accommodation for a few years, working hard to save a deposit to enable me to buy our forever home for the girls and I. In 2021, I was lucky enough to be in a position to be able to buy. I’d been waiting for this development as it was local to where I was currently living – and I liked the idea of being involved in the start of a community.”
Karen was over the moon to find the home of her dreams. Karen adds: “Originally I was looking at the Byford as I thought the Elliston was out of my reach. However, I was fortunate enough to be offered help from family, which enabled me to purchase the 4 bedroom, 3 storey Elliston design house.
“I absolutely love the master bedroom! This occupies the whole of the top floor, making it spacious and a real place to escape to when some peace and quiet is needed. I also love the kitchen diner. One of my must-haves was a kitchen diner, rather than a lounge diner, as I wanted to be able to socialise with my children and friends whilst preparing meals. It also means no requests from the children to watch tv whilst we are eating dinner!”
Feeling right at home
After over a year of living at Glenvale Park, Karen and her family are enjoying being part of the community there. Karen said; “We love living here, it has a very friendly feel and seems to be developing a real community spirit amongst the residents. I am very much looking forward to the BeWitched Coffee Shop opening as I feel this will be a great place to meet friends and others from the development for a coffee and chat.
“It is, without doubt, the best decision I have made to buy this house, from Taylor Wimpey, within this development. We immediately felt at home here and are slowly personalising it to make it ours! I continue to pop in and say hi to the sales team as I’m passing the office, who continue to remain friendly and extremely helpful.”
Speaking on her buying experience with Taylor Wimpey, Karen said: “As I purchased early on in the build, only Taylor Wimpey and one other builder had show homes at the time. The Taylor Wimpey sales team, Andrew and Stacey, totally shone out. They were approachable and friendly and answered all my questions without any hesitation. They were the reason, combined with the house style I liked at a good price, that I went with Taylor Wimpey.
When asked whether she would recommend Taylor Wimpey, Karen concludes: “The process of buying with Taylor Wimpey was really easy. It wasn’t all plain sailing, the build was delayed due to problems with groundworks, however, the sales team were fantastic at keeping me informed and up to date with all developments. Nothing was too much trouble, and I have nothing but praise and positivity for the sales team and the buying process.
