Find out more about our proposals for land at Crewe Road, Shavington
Taylor Wimpey is preparing detailed plans for a new neighbourhood of up to 120 homes on land west of Crewe Road, Shavington. Cheshire East Council has already granted outline planning permission for the site, including 30% affordable housing, public open space and landscaping, with access from Crewe Road.
We are now preparing a reserved matters application to show how the neighbourhood will look and function. This will cover the layout of homes and streets, the scale and appearance of buildings, and landscaping and green spaces.
We would like to hear your views on these detailed proposals before submitting the application to Cheshire East Council. The consultation is open until Thursday 8 October 2026. You can explore the plans and share your feedback through this website.

Connectivity
Access from Crewe Road was approved as part of the outline permission. The detailed proposals include three pedestrian and cycle access points, alongside improvements to walking and cycling routes near the site.
Drainage
Proposed measures include water butts, permeable paving, filter drains and swales feeding into a naturalistic attenuation basin along the western boundary. Surface water would ultimately discharge to an existing culverted watercourse at Gresty Lane, rather than the public sewer. The system is designed to control the rate at which water leaves the site and reduce flood risk downstream.
