Proposed Development

Squires Cross

Stretton-on-Dunsmore, CV23 9HF

Have your say on plans for an exciting new development in Stretton-on-Dunsmore.

We are currently preparing a reserved matters planning application for a new residential development of 55 homes on land to the North of Squires Road, Stretton-on-Dunsmore.

The site benefits from an outline planning consent which was granted on 26th April 2022 by Rugby Borough Council which agrees the principal of the development of the site. Our reserved matters application is for the detailed layout of the scheme.

It is important to us to hear the views of the local community and key stakeholders so we can incorporate feedback into our plans for the development.

Feedback can be sent to us by clicking the ‘Have your say’ button on this page, or by emailing us at: [email protected]

This online consultation will run until Friday 23rd February 2024. An in-person consultation event will take place on Tuesday 20th February 2024 at Stretton-on-Dunsmore Village Hall, 14 Church Hill, Stretton-on-Dunsmore, CV23 9NA from 3pm until 7pm.

Some images and tours are used for illustrative purposes only and may include optional upgrades, subject to availability and at additional cost. Development managed by Taylor Wimpey West Midlands.

Development Map

Layout

We want to create a thriving new community in Stretton-on-Dunsmore.

Our plans include a range of one- to four-bedroom properties. 30% of the homes will be delivered as affordable housing which will be sold as Discounted Market Dwellings.

An attenuation pond will be installed to the Southeastern corner of the site as part of the Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) for the site. This pond will offer an improvement on the current drainage of the site as it will provide surface water storage and discharge at a reduced flow rate.

A landscaped buffer has been included around the perimeter of the site to reinforce the boundaries of the site. This will be planted with suitable species in order to achieve a Biodiversity Net Gain on the site.

Our design proposals

As part of the development a new dedicated surface water drainage network will be constructed to capture and store surface water run-off generated from the site. This surface water drainage system will include an attenuation basin in the South-Eastern corner of the site. This will offer an improvement on the current drainage of the site as it will provide surface water storage and discharge at a reduced flow rate.

A landscaped buffer has been included around the perimeter of the site to reinforce the boundaries of the site. This will be planted with suitable species in order to achieve a Biodiversity Net Gain on the site.

Proposed Elevations

All homes are proposed to be two storeys high. There will be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced designs, giving options for a wide range of buyers.
Elevations have been designed by taking inspiration from the surrounding area, designed to complement the existing properties on Squires Road.
