Our West Midlands team has helped Sparkhill Foodbank continue its vital support to the local community with a £500 donation.
Designed to help individuals and families in crisis, the Sparkhill Foodbank supplies free emergency food until alternative support can be arranged. Volunteers collect non-perishable food donated by the public in various places such as supermarkets and churches to then be sorted and stored, ready for those in need. The items are then given to those in crisis through referrals from registered care professionals.
Nigel Brookhouse, CEO at Narthex Sparkhill, who operate the foodbank, said: “Thank you to all at Taylor Wimpey for this kind and generous donation. The level of need we are seeing is very concerning and so receiving this kind of support helps our staff and volunteers continue to help those in need.
“The donation means that lives are impacted in a positive way and needs are met in a genuine manner, so on behalf of everyone, thank you.”
Angie Prince, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “We’re really proud to be able to make this donation to Sparkhill Foodbank. The work that food banks do both within towns and across the country is invaluable to those in need and we are more than happy to show our support for such an important cause.”
