Funds for a new kit

Young Oxfordshire footballers are playing with an extra sense of pride thanks to us funding a new kit.

Bampton Town Youth FC’s under-9s team was formed in October 2020 and currently plays in the Oxfordshire Youth Football League.

The club, known as The Tigers, was keen to help the players bond as a team by providing a brand new kit. We are building new homes in the village, at the Bampton Meadows development, and offered to put £250 towards the striking orange strip.

The players are now looking the part on the pitch as they develop their footballing skills.

Graham Leftwich, Bampton Town Youth FC under-9s coach, said: “Our mission statement is to develop players and teams that are confident in possession and attempt to play forward, attacking football at all times in a fun-filled environment.

“Having a good quality kit really helps the players to feel like they are part of a team, and we are really grateful to Taylor Wimpey for getting on board with Bampton FC as our under-9s sponsor.”

Danielle Heard, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, said: “Supporting the communities in which we build is really important to us, particularly in villages like Bampton where sports clubs are a big social hub.

“We were happy to help out the under-9s team and it’s brilliant to see them in their colourful new kits. We wish them all the best for the next season.”
