Help to Buy and key worker incentive scheme helps couple secure their home

We helped a couple get onto the property ladder after supporting them with the purchase of their very first home at our Kings Moat Garden Village development in Chester.

The keys to a dream home

Thanks to the government-backed Help to Buy scheme and Taylor Wimpey’s key worker incentive, Ellie Fisher, 26, and Richard Pilling, 27, were able to use these to their advantage, allowing them to move into their new home back in November 2020.

After originally renting a two-bed terrace house in the East of Chester, the couple decided it was time to secure a place of their own which would not only give them exactly what they were looking for but within their budget.

Commenting on her buying experience, Ellie said: “From start to finish, the whole process has been great. It was so reassuring to be kept up-to-date regularly by everyone in the sales team, I can’t stress how pleased we are with the purchase of our new home.”

Richard added: “Just when you thought our experience couldn’t be any more positive, our new three-bed detached Easedale is amazing, there is so much space and the fact we have a third room is great as Ellie can use this for when she is studying her master’s degree. On top of that, the surrounding green areas are exactly what we were looking for and it really is a lovely view.”
