Festive food parcels for that need it most

Our South Midlands team collected items including biscuits, long life milk and fruit juice, tinned tomatoes, rice and an assortment of Christmas treats, which were then hand delivered to the food bank.

Fiona Lloyd, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, said: “Christmas can be one of the busiest times for food banks and they work incredibly hard to make sure that people get the support they need. We hope the donation will help MK Food Bank meet the increase in demand and also spread some much needed festive joy across the community.

Louisa Hobbs, Operations Manager at MK Food Bank, said: “Christmas time is the season of giving, and we’re always overwhelmed by the generosity of the Milton Keynes community. This year could see a particularly difficult winter for many more families and individuals, with the removal of the Universal Credit uplift and the end of the furlough scheme as well as soaring energy costs. “
