Pupils at Ladygrove Primary School in Telford are over the moon after receiving a £500 donation from our North Midlands team. We provided the school with national book vouchers which will be used to buy new books to upgrade its library.

The purchase of new books will help the school in its aim to encourage its pupils to read more. Selina Mahy, School Business Manager SLE at Ladygrove Primary School, said: “Reading is such an important life skill and something that we want to make fun and engaging. This donation will allow us to purchase a new selection of books for our pupils to get stuck into and we hope this will also help to maintain the children’s enthusiasm for reading.

Carl Cooke, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “Books are such an effective way of learning for children and if they can learn to enjoy it as well, that’s a bonus! We’re delighted to hear that our donation will be used to expand the collection of books in the school library and hope that the pupils discover some exciting stories that they can get stuck into.”
