As part of our ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, following progress with our latest two developments in North Lanarkshire – the first homes launched for sale at Torrance Place in Holytown and pre-construction work starting at Meadowside in Glenboig – we have recently donated £500 to St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie.
St Andrew’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illness, with a goal of providing free physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for its patients in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment for adults across Lanarkshire. Since the start of the pandemic, the Hospice has been providing its Hospice Hearty Meals service which has been funded via grant funding and fundraising donations. This service provides patients and carers with a healthy two course meal, three days a week.
Commenting on the support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Lorna McCafferty of St Andrew’s Hospice in North Lanarkshire said: “On behalf of the patients and families that St Andrew’s Hospice helps to care for and support we would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West Scotland for their generous donation of £500, which will be used to purchase two outdoor benches for our patients attending our Outpatients and Wellbeing Services and a gazebo for outdoor activities.”
Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: “We are delighted to be able to support St Andrew’s Hospice and the incredible service that it provides to the local community of North Lanarkshire with this donation. Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us and it’s great to know that we are making more contributions that go directly to making a difference to the lives of people in local communities.
