The site manager of Aspext in Hackney Wick has been recognised as one of the best in London after winning a second award for his dedication to quality housebuilding.

Reece Ward, who oversees work at the Aspext development in Wick Lane, has been named as a Seal of Excellence winner in this year’s National House-Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award scheme.

The Seal of Excellence is one of the top honours handed out by the NHBC each year. They recognise and reward a site manager’s dedication to achieving the highest standards in house building, as well as their commitment to building homes of outstanding quality.

With 72 of its Site Managers recognised for their achievements in 2021, Taylor Wimpey has more award winning Site Managers per development than any other major national homebuilder.*

Reece said: “Myself and my team feel deeply honoured that we were awarded the Seal of Excellence for our site in Wick Lane. It shows that all our hard work, attention to detail, commitment, leadership for the industry and maintaining the highest quality for our clients and customers has not gone unnoticed.

“It shows to our customers that we are knowledgeable and fully aware of what is required to successfully complete and handover their units to the highest standard, whilst maintaining a safe and clean site. It also reassures customers that quality and safety assurance has been achieved and followed.”

The Seal of Excellence is the next step up from the Quality Award, which Reece won in July this year.
