Our East Anglia team has donated £1,250 to Hethersett Hearts, based in Hethersett, Norfolk.
Hethersett Hearts is a voluntary group which formed last April, in response to the pandemic.
Members of the group strive to support elderly, vulnerable and lonely residents in the village and they provide assistance in a variety of ways.
For instance, some will benefit from free transport to get to appointments while others look forward to social telephone calls, which help to prevent feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Samantha England, Chair of Heathersett Hearts, said: “We are extremely grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s support. Their kind donation will help us to continue working with the wonderful people of Hethersett, having a positive impact on their lives.
“The group has undertaken a variety of activities to help support the local community lately, such as holding community kitchen luncheons for residents in the village. Everyone has really enjoyed having more opportunities to socialise at the village Jubilee Hall Youth Centre. Taylor Wimpey’s donation will be instrumental in helping us to continue these services.”
