We give Eastwood High a ‘Back to School’ funding boost

As part of our ongoing commitment to working in partnership with local communities, we have donated £500 to Eastwood High School’s PTA to help boost its efforts to provide new school uniform, equipment and resources for students returning to school after the summer break.

The importance of wellbeing and education

Eastwood High School’s PTA believes that every student deserves to look and feel smart at school, to feel that they belong, and to avoid the negative effects of hardship on their wellbeing and education.

Commenting on the support it has received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, Moira Forbes, Chair of Eastwood High School PTA said: “We are thrilled to have received this donation from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. It will be put to good use to provide some essential school uniform items for the pupils who need our support.”

Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said: “We have been part of the East Renfrewshire community for many years now.  We have several developments locally, including two at Maidenhill, and we welcome this opportunity to be involved in such an important initiative to make sure that pupils at Eastwood High School have what they need to have a positive learning experience.

Being able to work with local charities and organisations where we build new homes means a great deal to us, and it’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our local communities.
