Kirby Athletic Youth FC was founded in 2019, with the club’s under-8s squad forming in the spring of 2021. The grassroots football club approached Taylor Wimpey to request a sponsorship for their under-8s squad’s new training kits.

Martin Pitcher, Chairman at Kirby Athletic Youth FC, said: “All of the boys within the under-8s teams were brand new to football when they joined last spring. We have been training these young players and teams so that they are confident in possession and attempt to play forward, attacking football at all times in a fun-filled environment.

“Having a good quality kit really helps the players to feel like they are part of a team, and we are really grateful to Taylor Wimpey for getting on board with Kirby Athletic Youth FC as our under-8s sponsor.”

Alex Greaves, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We love that we have been given the chance to sponsor Kirby Athletic Youth FC. Sports clubs are so important to communities like Kirby Cross as they bring everyone together, in a positive way, showing their support to the people who live nearby. We were happy to help out the under-8s team and it’s brilliant to see them in their new kits. We wish them all the best for the next season.”

We are building new homes at The Laurels development, close to the club’s home at Kirby Recreational Ground in Kirby Cross. The Laurels is a development consisting of 116 two, three and four-bedroom homes, and a landscaped green space and play area in the heart of the development.
