We support Hackney charity with £1000 towards winter appeal

This winter we pledged £1,000 to support Made in Hackney, a community kitchen creating healthy, sustainable and affordable food, aiming to raise funds to deliver 10,000 nutritious meals to Hackney residents

Nutritious and affordable meals for all

We’re building homes at several developments in the local area and wanted to help the charity to try and reach their fundraising total goal of £25,000. 

The fundraising total was hit before the deadline, which means that all donations will be match-funded. People can still donate at https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/p/goodfoodforall.

Fran Humber, Development Manager at Made in Hackney, said: “At Made In Hackney we believe access to good food is a human right - not a privilege. Our food support is crucial so that our community can stay well-nourished during these economically turbulent, unjust times. For every £2.50 donated we can cook and deliver another meal. “

“Donations such as that from Taylor Wimpey have been critical in helping not only our meal service continue, but to encourage others to donate to this campaign.”
