We donate £1,000 towards forest school and community garden project

The money from our North Yorkshire team will go towards three mud kitchens at Aiskew Leeming Bar CE Primary School

An exciting project

The school has been developing its outdoor learning activities through creative projects, such as its new forest school, which aim to benefit both its students and community.

Now, thanks to our support, the teachers can continue to work on creating fun and engaging new educational experiences for pupils outside of the classroom.

The school is located a mile from our new Beaumont Gate development and already has a natural wellbeing community garden which has been visited by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak.

After hearing about the school’s projects, we were keen to support them with further development of its outdoor learning facilities.

Bethany Stanley, Headteacher of Aiskew Leeming Primary School, said: “We are so pleased to have been able to purchase the mud kitchens for our students. Interactive, outdoor learning is becoming more and more important and has such a positive impact on well-being.

“Equipment such as this will allow pupils to learn in a fun and new way. I’d like to say a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their kind donation and we look forward to putting the mud kitchens to good use.”
