Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Our South East team challenged the students to get creative and design a colourful celebratory flag to display at the Royal Parade development in Canterbury.

The winning design by Lailana has been produced into a flag that now proudly flies at the entrance to the development. Lailana said: “The competition was really fun. It’s great to have won and to see my flag flying high.”

As well as having her design made into a flag, Lailana received a £50 gift voucher as a prize and the school was given a £200 donation from Taylor Wimpey as a thank you for their participation.

Bringing joy to the community

Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, says: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the pupils at Pilgrims' Way Primary School who got involved with our flag design competition to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Picking a winner was by no means easy but Lailana’s design really stood out and is a great way to welcome people to Royal Parade during this special Jubilee year.

“We loved all of the designs so much we donated the entries to Highland House care home for residents to enjoy over the Jubilee weekend.”
