Keys to a dream home at Great Western Park

Scientists Rob and Kirsty Hackett, both 35, and their two daughters, aged nine and 11, settled into their new home in September 2019 after previously renting in Didcot. The first time buyers were looking for a community in which to grow roots, and found everything they needed at Great Western Park.

The development of more than 3,000 homes offers everything residents could need, with schools, shops, health facilities and plenty of open space within easy walking and cycling distance.

Rob said: “Using Help to Buy meant we finally found ourselves in the fortunate position of being able to buy our first home. As first time buyers the sales team could not have been any more supportive and helpful, making the whole thing smooth running from start to finish. They honestly went above and beyond our expectations.

Hackett family enjoying life in Didcot

Now that the Hackett family have settled in, they agree that their favourite aspect of Great Western Park is the outdoor spaces, both at home and around the development.

Rob said: “The garden is one of the highlights of our new home, along with the garage which is a brilliant size and fits my classic car nicely. We are glad we chose the Eskdale as it has the additional rear access via the utility room.
