We support Sunderland charities

Three Sunderland charities have received monetary contributions from our North East region to support the vital work they undertake in the community

Norah’s North Pole is a family run organisation, set up in memory of Grandma Norah, whose motto “it’s nice to be nice” inspires the work they do to this day. The family works throughout the year to be able to deliver Christmas boxes to children across the North East region who are most in need.

SAPS (Sunderland Area Parent Support) works to tackle the effects of drug or alcohol misuse within families. SAPS provides one to one support, group support, counselling, advice and information, relaxation therapies and various informal education courses for carers. SAPS is currently fundraising to be able to employ a new Counsellor.

Sarah Northcott, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North East, said: “We are delighted to be able to support such worthy causes across the Sunderland region, which is where our office is based.

“All of these charities work tirelessly within their communities to improve the lives of so many, so we are very pleased to be able to contribute to their invaluable work.”
