Local community group wins top prize
Residents from across Norfolk were invited to nominate local good causes. Once all of the entries were considered, our East Anglia team awarded Norfolk Family Carers with the top prize.
Alison Easton, Chief Operations Officer at Norfolk Family Carers, said: “We are really delighted to be the winner of Taylor Wimpey’s £1,000 Community Chest for the Norfolk area. It was a lovely surprise to hear the news and as a small independent local charity the money will make a real difference.

“We will use the money to help fund our young carers groups; £1,000 covers the cost of a space for one young carer to attend groups for about 18 months. The regular groups provide respite for young carers aged 5 to 18 giving them the chance to access activities, support and a chance to meet other young people in the same situation and to most importantly have fun.”
