We are proud to support MK Food Bank

We have helped MK Food Bank continue its vital support to the local community with a large food donation.

Supporting our communities

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, we have collected food throughout December for the local food bank, which aims to relieve some worry for some people in Milton Keynes by providing emergency food supplies to those most in need.

We have a longstanding relationship with the foodbank, having donated regularly for many years, with a permanent donation box now established in their Milton Keynes based office.

Established in 2004, MK Food Bank originated at MK Christian Centre in Oldbrook as a direct response to growing food poverty in the area. Now supporting more than 5,000 families a year, it operates from a distribution centre in Kiln Farm and distributes from 12 serving centres across Milton Keynes.

Louisa Hobbs, Operations Manager at MK Food Bank, said: “We are thrilled to receive a food donation from Taylor Wimpey. Now more than ever before, we rely on donations like this from businesses in the local community in order to help those who need it most. Sadly, with the cost of living and the rise of food poverty, our support is needed more greatly now than when we started in 2004 but we are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this donation and know it will help to provide supplies for residents of Milton Keynes this Christmas.”
