We give a boost to Sandbach schools

We have donated £600 to two Sandbach primary schools, nearby to our Albion Lock and Millstream Meadows developments

Elworth School Playground Pals initiative

Supporting education

Elworth Hall Primary School and Warmingham CE Primary School have received a donation of £300 each to go towards the schools' initiatives and equipment costs.

After COVID restrictions were lifted, some students at Elworth Hall Primary School were hesitant to re-integrate with large groups again after the playground had been zoned at lunchtime. Assistant Headteacher, Karen Smith, came up with the Playground Pals scheme.

The £300 donation has helped Elworth Hall School set up and run the Playground Pals initiative which provides peer support and activities for the children during playtime. Warmingham CE Primary School put the donation towards equipment costs.

Karen Smith, Assistant Headteacher at Elworth Hall Primary School, said: “The generous donation has allowed us to provide our children with lunchtime activities and a peer support system to improve their social skills and wellbeing. The scheme is running very well. The older children are keen to volunteer to be Playground Pals and the activities are popular with a range of children.”

Kate Appleby, Principal at Warmingham CE Primary School, said: “We want to thank Taylor Wimpey for the generous donation which was added to the money raised by our amazing PTA to buy ten laptops for the children. These are used on a daily basis to enhance the children’s learning.”
