First-time buyer invests in a new home in Aiskew

First time buyer, Elaine Deas settles into life at our Beaumont Gate development, in Aiskew, Bedale, and is looking forward to living ‘happily ever after’ in her dream home

The perfect first home

At just 20 years old, Assistant Manager at Johnston Racing, Elaine Deas, worked hard for four years to save for a deposit and was delighted to move into her three-bedroom semi-detached house in December 2021. Having previously lived in a rental property in Middleham, she was determined to get on the property ladder and buy her first home.

Elaine said: ‘I wanted to buy a new build as I didn’t want to have to do any work on the house and I also wanted a blank canvas. I chose Taylor Wimpey because I loved their house designs and had heard many great reviews especially for people buying their first home.

‘I looked at Beaumont Gate because I’ve always loved the Bedale area and it isn’t too far a commute to my place of work. My favourite thing about the local area is it’s such a friendly community, and Bedale and Aiskew consist of mostly independent businesses.

‘My first impression of the development was one of delight -  it looked like they were building a very beneficial development that was also giving back to the local community.’

The housing design at Beaumont Gate offers plenty of flexibility and a spacious, relaxing environment, which is perfect for friend and family gatherings, where memories are made. After saving since she was just 16, Elaine describes the first night in her house as ‘a dream come true’. She adds: ‘I was so excited when I received a mortgage offer, after all my hard work I was finally getting my dream. When I first got the keys I just spent the first night sitting in an empty house, over the moon - my dream had come true.’

‘My purchase process was excellent - Lauren the sales executive was very helpful and always there if I had any questions. Also Owen and Jack from the construction team were fantastic and quick to help.’
