Young Professional Upsizes to Ideal Location at Shopwyke Lakes

Senior Sales Executive, Harley Dorman (26) recently upsized from a small flat in Littlehampton to a beautiful Gosford at Shopwyke Lakes. Completing her move in November 2022, Harley gave us an insight into her buying process and her exciting new home.

The Ideal Location

In terms of development, Shopwyke Lakes is incredibly convenient for city life, but there are also excellent amenities close by that include a Sainsbury’s superstore as well as Portfield Retail Park. Harley herself chose Shopwyke Lakes as “the location is perfect as it’s not too far away from the town centre. My first impression of the development was that it was very clean and spacious and I’m excited to see the development progress further as time passes.”

“I chose a newbuild home as the financial incentives made it more appealing than buying a second hand home. For example, I loved that white goods were included and there wouldn’t be any updating to do etc.”

Once Harley found her ideal location, it was time to choose her ideal home. She chose The Gosford, which is full of impressive features. Including a light and airy kitchen/dining room, double doors from the living room to the garden and a separate garage and driveway parking for 2 cars, it’s not hard to see why. Harley adds “I chose a Gosford as it provided enough space without being too high in price.” Now that Harley has settled in, her favourite part about her home is her garden: “I love my garden, it’s super spacious for a new build!”

In terms of her purchase process, Harley described it as “very straightforward. The sales team were clear during the entire process and they were also very attentive to my queries too. The goodie bag I received on completion day was a great touch and the builders are also very helpful.”
