Creating a sustainable future

Staff from our land, production and sales teams visited the school close to our Hartford Green development to host a discussion around the importance of environmentally friendly practices and how pupils can play a role in creating a more sustainable future.

The talk covered a range of topics, from reducing waste and conserving energy to the benefits of sustainable building practices.

We also handed out activity packs which included a selection of educational materials to support pupils in their learning and personal development, such as bird box building kits.

Michael O’Leary, Regional Operations Director at Taylor Wimpey London, said, “At Taylor Wimpey, we are committed to sustainable building practices and believe that it is important to inspire the next generation to create a more sustainable future. It was great to visit the pupils in Great Bentley and our team really enjoyed working through the activities with them.”

Teacher Hannah Upston said: "We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for hosting the talk and handing out the activity packs. We think it’s really important to try to encourage our pupils to become environmentally conscious citizens who will understand the importance of protecting our planet, and visits like this can really help."
