We teamed up with local Scouts for a fun and Creative Flag Design Contest

We challenged members of the St Helens (YMCA) Scouts to come up with a colourful flag design reflecting the area around our Anderton Green development in order to help new residents to feel a part of the community. 

In the end, 14-year-old Jack’s design took top prize, highlighting the Scouting logo as well as some key local attractions such as St Helens Theatre Royal and St Helens Saints RFC.

Jack, along with his mother and his Scout leader, recently paid a visit to receive his prize of a £50 voucher and view the flag at full mast. 

Beverly Johnson, leader of 1st St Helens (YMCA) Scouts, said. “Taylor Wimpey’s flag design competition was a fantastic opportunity for our Scouts to showcase their creativity and love for their local community. Jack’s beautifully detailed design reflects his artistic talent and we were delighted to see his flag flying in Anderton Green.”
