Louise Askham, Reading Leader at Reculver C of E Primary School, said: “It’s so important to show children how exciting reading can be and we celebrate World Book Day every year. Having new books to get stuck into helps to keep up an enthusiasm for reading all year round and we would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their kind donation.

Emma Campbell, Deputy Head at Pilgrims’ Way Primary School, also adds: “World Book Day is a fantastic initiative which really encourages children to develop their reading. Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s donation, we’ll be able to add some new books to our library and we can’t wait for our pupils to get stuck into some new stories.”

Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “Books are a fantastic way for children to learn about the world around them and to feed their imaginations. We were delighted to support Pilgrims’ Way Primary School and Reculver C of E Primary School with a donation to celebrate World Book Day and hope that their new books will be enjoyed for years to come.”
