Engaging with our communities
Kicking off with the community fair, the Kingsgrove Community Day commenced in the town's Square during a Saturday afternoon. After a formal opening by the Mayor of Wantage, visitors were able to enjoy performances by local musicians, Al Jenkins and Howard Hill, a children’s fancy dress competition, and the first ever Kingsgrove Residents Dog Show. The square was also filled with 25 diverse stalls and activities, including ours which featured bird box painting and the chance for visitors to build their dream house out of Lego and Duplo.
The day finished at Wantage Primary Academy where a Hog Roast and Music Evening was organised by Wantage Community Church. Attendees were entertained by local band, Studio Six.
