Shrewsbury Amateur Swimming Club benefits from our donation

The swimming club, founded in 1894, is still recovering from the long term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic after closing its main pool.

Our donation will go towards pool hire and coaching the next generation of keen swimmers, with overall members totalling over 60.  

Commenting on the support received from Taylor Wimpey, Anna Fletcher, Chair at Shrewsbury Amateur Swimming club, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have received Taylor Wimpey’s kind donation. After a difficult few years, without contributions such as theirs, our swimming club would be in a perilous position. On behalf of everyone at Shrewsbury Amateur Swimming club, I would like to thank them for their kind support.”
