We give residents the chance to enjoy free literary delights thanks to new community book exchange

Residents on our Valiant Fields development can now enjoy a collection of literary delights thanks to a new, free-to-use community library donated by our Midlands team.

The Little Free Library

The Little Free Library was crafted by our apprentices from Moreton Morrell college and provides the community with a local book exchange at our Upper Lighthorne development. Residents can pick up a new novel to read or donate an old book for others to enjoy.

The library contains a selection of classic and contemporary fiction for adults and children and will eventually be handed over to local residents, who will become official stewards of the Little Free Library and ensure it remains well looked after and a much-loved feature of the community for years to come.

Emma Hills, Community Champion for the Lighthorne Heath Consortium, says: “It is wonderful that Taylor Wimpey has installed the new library in the Upper Lighthorne area, giving local residents free access to a collection of pre-loved books. It is already being well used and will be loved by the community.”
