We donate to Share Alike in East Kilbride

At the launch of our new homes for sale at Jacktonhall in East Kilbride, we teamed up with the local community group Share Alike to donate £25 for each new home sold and legally completed within our first phase of new homes at Amble Court. We donated our first tranche of £675 this month, and in total a grand sum of £5,625 will be paid to Share Alike as work at the development progresses, signalling a long-term relationship between this important local community charity and Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

Continuing our support

Share Alike is a small community organisation run entirely by volunteers, which aims to encourage sharing and care to help alleviate poverty, loneliness, and waste. Share Alike has partnerships with local stores to collect surplus food and it also accepts donations of food, clothing, and small household items which they distribute to those in need.

The money will go directly to supporting the work and services that Share Alike provides locally in East Kilbride including its crisis food service; community larder, fridge, and wardrobe; community wellbeing café with workshops, activities, and general support; as well as its baby bank and participation in the annual EK Christmas Kindness campaign.
