We have donated £200 towards the Golborne Cricket Club Sporting Dinner raffle prizes as part of our ongoing support to the community surrounding our Rothwells Farm development.

Supporting our communities

The Sporting Dinner was held at Golborne Sports & Social Club on the 8th March to raise money for the cricket club.

Our donation was put towards the top raffle prize, a Lenovo Tab M9 64gb tablet. In total, over £2,000 was raised from the night which will be put towards improving the facilities and equipment for the club’s cricket players, from the ages of 5 to 64. As well as improving the facilities available to players, the funds raised will also ensure that the sport is available and affordable for all in the area.

Sam Evans, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said:  “It’s important to ensure that communities have access to affordable sporting venues such as Golborne Sports & Social Club, which is why we’re delighted to have donated towards this fundraising dinner. We’re pleased to hear that the event was enjoyed by those who attended and we hope the lucky winner of the Lenovo tablet enjoys their prize.”

Rothwells Farm is an ideal location for active families and individuals; as well as Golborne Sports & Social Club, the development has access to a variety of other nearby sports venues and facilities as well as its own areas of open space for meeting the neighbours or spending time with family.

Just a ten minute drive away is Pennington Flash Country Park, which has water sports, a sailing club, parks and golf courses. In the neighbouring town of Leigh, there is also Leigh Sports Village, home to the Leigh Leopards Rugby team as well as providing further sports, health and leisure facilities.
