Supporting our communities

To celebrate World Book Day 2024, the £250 donation will be utilised to enhance the library's resources, providing pupils with access to a diverse range of books, educational materials and learning aids. The aim is to create an engaging and enriching environment that encourages a love for reading and learning among the children.

Now in its 27th year, World Book Day, which takes place on Thursday 7th March, is a celebration of reading and aims to encourage children and young adults to come together to explore the pleasure of books.

Development

Rosamund Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: "We are delighted to help provide a boost to Shaw-cum-Donnington CE Primary School's library. The development of young minds is essential and we believe that by investing in the learning spaces of our local schools, we contribute to the growth and development of future generations."

The donation, used to enhance the school's library, reflects our commitment to supporting local communities and fostering educational initiatives. It is one of the many contributions being made by us towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
