This year we marked World Book Day on 7 March 2024 with a donation of £1,000 to the Scottish Book Trust.
Celebrating 27 years, World Book Day aims to encourage children of all ages to enjoy and appreciate the pleasures of all types of books. Laura Antone, Fundraising Manager for Scottish Book Trust, adds: “World Book Day is a fantastic initiative which focuses on encouraging children to develop their enjoyment of reading as well as their appreciation of books."
“Taylor Wimpey’s donation will help us to deliver more of our life-changing work which includes bringing authors to schools, encouraging reading for pleasure in children of all ages, providing tactile books for children with additional support needs and facilitating specialist support for young families facing significant challenges through our Bookbug for the Home programme.”
