Our West London team swap housebuilding for charity work

Our West London team has recently swapped housebuilding for charity work, by delivering a helping hand across Crisis UK’s London shops.

Crisis UK

Supporting our communities

Our West London team volunteered in several of the charity’s shops in Camden, Elephant and Castle, Brick Lane, Hammersmith, Kilburn, Finsbury Park and Putney to help sell items, serve coffee and support the retail staff.

We have supported and volunteered for Crisis for over five years, with a most recent 2023 donation of over £85,000 towards Crisis lead workers, who provide practical support to help people access benefits, healthcare services, employment opportunities, and more.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. They help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

The main aim of Crisis is to relieve the huge pressure of homelessness, by helping people find safe and affordable homes as quickly as possible. They prioritise supporting people who are facing the most complex barriers to ending their homelessness and who often have nowhere else to turn. As well as helping to end homelessness for individuals, they work to address the root causes that push people into homelessness in the first place.
