Wallyford Christmas Lights fundraising campaign receives a helping hand

As part of our commitment to working in partnership with local communities, we have given Wallyford Community Council a £500 boost to its fundraising efforts to cover the expected costs of the annual Christmas lights installed throughout the East Lothian town.

Kickstarting fundraising efforts

Commenting on the support that it has received from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, Beryl Stevenson, Treasurer for Wallyford Community Council, said: “We are delighted and extremely grateful for the support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey, which has kickstarted our fundraising efforts to provide our annual festive Christmas lights throughout Wallyford.

“We can’t thank them enough for their generous donation of £500, which has boosted donations from other local companies, including Day -Day £500, Scorpio Safety Systems Ltd £500, Mr R Slight £200, Fry-Wok £100, ShowTec £200, and Lagwell £100, as well as personal donations from members of the community who sponsored me on my 50K walk which was completed over three weeks and has raised £1,320."
