     We have recently secured a three-year sponsorship deal with Monmouth Rugby Football Club.

    We have agreed to donate £2,000 to the club for each of the next three seasons. As well as contributing to the on-going investment in the development of the club, the money will be spent on new wet-weather tracksuit tops that will be worn by about 450 of the club's players, coaches, managers and officials, and will be adorned with the Taylor Wimpey logo.

    Lloyd Davies, chairman of Monmouth Rugby Football Club, says: "The tops will be used by players in training and when travelling to matches, while they'll also be worn as casual/leisure wear by many of us at the club, so they'll be seen around town as well as on the pitch."

    The community club runs teams in 13 different age groups, from under-6s to the first team, and are going through a significant period of investment to enhance facilities at the club.

    "We've been re-furbishing the ground to make it more of a family environment," continues Lloyd. "New floodlights have been installed while the showers need upgrading, a new boiler is required and pitch maintenance is an important on-going cost - so Taylor Wimpey's contribution over the next three years will help with all of this.

    "All the sponsorship money we receive is invested directly into the club - for instance we've recently been able to fund the appointment of a full-time rugby officer, who works with local schools to help raise awareness of and develop rugby union within the area."

    Monmouth Rugby Football Club, established in 1873, were on one of the founding member clubs of the Welsh Rugby Union, and the first team currently play in Division Three East of the Welsh Rugby Union League.

    "We're very family-orientated and focused on youth development," adds Lloyd. "Much of the first team is made up of young players that have come through the system, so the development side of things is working really well.

    "We'd like to say a massive thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their sponsorship that will undoubtedly help us continue to develop rugby union in our community-centred club."
