Welcome to our vibrant community in Cwmbran
Edlogan Wharf is a unique development comprising two distinct collections of homes, each with its own characteristics. Living at Barcud Coch and Nyth y Dryw means being right on the edge of the great outdoors, with cycle and walking routes taking you to wide open green spaces and beautiful woodland. To help residents stay active, the neighbourhood has its own sports pitches and play areas, which also provide a safe meeting point for children.
Outside, there is plenty of green space right on your doorstep, perfect for exercise and weekend walks. With the excellent location of the development as a whole, between the Brecon Beacons and the historic city of Newport, Edlogan Wharf is the ideal place to live. Residents will also benefit from a range of amenities on their doorstep, including a dedicated retail centre with a range of shops, sports pitches for group and solo activities, and allotments for growing fruit and vegetables all year round.
Nyth y Dryw
Nyth y Dryw’s homes draw inspiration from contemporary styles, with spacious kitchen/dining areas complete with French doors leading out into generous gardens, and cosy living rooms perfect for family nights in. With a mixture of modern building materials, including yellow brick, whitewashed exteriors, dark wood panelling and dark doors and window frames, the homes at Nyth y Dryw are a great example of modern housebuilding.
Barcud Coch
The homes at Barcud Coch are designed with traditional influences in mind; classic red brick, ivory render and silver grey stone create beautiful frontages, with some homes incorporating chimneys. Inside, there are spacious, flexible living areas, as well as generous bedrooms, inviting living rooms and kitchen/dining areas with French doors leading out into the gardens.

Welcome to SebastopolWe support Motor Neurone Disease Association with Tour de South Wales challenge
We demonstrated our commitment to making a positive impact in our community by organising a two-day bike challenge at our Edlogan Wharf development.
The initiative was fueled by the heartfelt connection of one team member who is caring for a loved one affected by Motor Neurone Disease. In solidarity, we set out on a virtual cycling journey, covering the cumulative distance of all our sites across South Wales, starting from our head office in Cardiff.
Over the course of two days, multiple team members took turns pedalling on stationary bikes, collectively covering an impressive 193 miles—20 miles beyond their initial target. This remarkable effort not only showcased their determination but also underscored their dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
In addition to surpassing their cycling goal, the team successfully reached their fundraising target, raising £1050 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association—a testament to the generosity and support of the local community.
Our South Wales team extends their sincere thanks to all participants, supporters, and donors who contributed to the success of the Tour de South Wales Challenge. The funds raised will go towards supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association's crucial research and support programs.

Education the next generation
Johanne Jones, Apprentice Manager for the housebuilder, visited the school and spoke in front of 248 pupils during the weekly assembly. Through a fun and interactive presentation, she introduced the pupils to the many facets of our tried and tested approach to construction: from site safety measures around construction zones to our approach to sustainability and environment preservation.
Jade Eaves, Acting Deputy Headteacher at Maendy Primary School, said: “We’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey South Wales for taking the time to talk to our pupils about such important topics, particularly when we have plans to complete building work at our school in the near future. This is not your typical curriculum but it’s nevertheless a highly relevant topic that really grabbed the attention of our pupils. With the insights gained from Johanne’s engaging talk, we think more than a few of our children had their interest piqued – and we look forward to helping them learn more about the broader world of work.”
Our Investments in the local community
