We recently opened the doors of its new development in Bampton to homebuyers across Oxfordshire, featuring a show home designed by a local school pupil.
Earlier this year, the Oxfordshire team worked with Bampton Primary School, asking pupils to design their dream bedroom during lockdown. The competition winner, Cecilia Easterbrook, has had her pig-themed design recreated in the bedroom of the development’s showhome by Lisa Burrell, Interior Designer at Claude Hooper.
Julian and Karen Easterbrook, Cecilia’s parents, said: “We thought that the bedroom design competition was a great way for Taylor Wimpey to get involved in the local community and it certainly kept Cecilia entertained during lockdown. Cecilia is so pleased that her design won first prize, and it was wonderful to see it so beautifully represented in the show home.
“Visiting the development has been fantastic, and then to meet the team for the grand opening was so enjoyable for us all. We felt so welcome and so safe with the COVID restrictions in place. The bedroom looks awesome, the houses are amazing and such a happy vibe surrounds the development.”
Danielle Heard, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, said: “We’re so pleased to have launched our Bampton Meadows development after careful planning and lots of hard work. The development strikes the balance between rural living and great transport connections, and we’re delighted that we were able to invite Cecilia along to see her brilliant design brought to life by our designers in one of the bedrooms.”
