There is a real sense of community at Etling GroveFamily Finds Perfect New Home at Etling Grove
After living in a two-bed detached bungalow, Claire, Rob and their daughter Millie were ready for a new chapter in their family life. Their search led them to Taylor Wimpey's Etling Grove development, where they found their perfect home.
Claire said: "Our previous home was only a mile away, but we wanted somewhere our daughter could safely play outside and be around her friends. Being close to Neatherd Moor was also really
important to us."
As experienced homeowners who had previously renovated a 1930s property, the couple were drawn to the benefits of a new-build home.
"After carrying out a full renovation on our 1930s property, we liked the idea of owning somewhere we could just move into without having to do too much," Rob explained. "We just wanted to add our own individual touch and decorative style without the extensive work."
The family chose the five-bedroom detached Garrton house type, which offered everything they were looking for.
"We loved the size and general feel of the property," Claire shared. "The location is really nice, looking out onto a section of greenspace with trees. It has plenty of parking and is lovely, light and spacious."
"We also really liked the fact that it had a third floor," Rob added. "It gives our daughter her own space, something that she'll appreciate more and more as she gets older."
The Part Exchange scheme made their buying process straightforward."The scheme went very smoothly," Claire noted.
"Sally and Margaret in the sales office were excellent – extremely helpful and always available to support us throughout our buying journey."
Now settled in, the family couldn't be happier with their new surroundings."We really like the location of Etling Grove," Rob said.
"It's a lovely spot backing onto Neatherd Moor, which is a beautiful country park where we spend a lot of time walking the dog or running."
"We love that there's wildlife on our doorstep," Claire added. "We get to see deer, ducks, and squirrels all from our house, which is really lovely. The parks on the development are wonderful too, with one small park within view of our home, so our daughter, Millie, can play outside with some independence."
The family has quickly made their new house feel like a home. Although it's bigger than our previous home, it feels very homely and comfortable," Rob concluded.
"We love the atmosphere here and have settled in really quickly."

Keith and Christine are enjoying life at Etling Grove
After taking early retirement and moving to Turkey, Keith and Christine Warner decided they wanted to return and settle back in the UK.
The couple had always holidayed in Norfolk, so decided it was the perfect place to resettle. Keith said: "We had already decided on Dereham as our search area because of all the amenities available. We had looked at various cottages and projects, but we've always purchased new builds in the past."
After viewing several new build developments, they discovered our Etling Grove development in Dereham. "Driving on to Etling Grove, our first impressions were promising with the areas of green space, a variety of building styles and the open feel of the building layout" said Keith.
Keith continued to say: “We met Sally in the sales office and looked in the show home. It was a breath of fresh air to find a sales representative who was so welcoming and friendly, as well as very knowledgeable about the properties.
“After viewing the show home, we looked at the plots that were available and discovered our new home, which was already completed and ready to move into.”
“We chose the Waysdale as the 4 bedrooms offered us everything that we wanted as well as the large, light and airy kitchen/diner that we were used to. It also came with a garden size that was superior to other new builds we had looked at.”
Reflecting on their time at Etling Grove, Christine said; "We have lived here for a year now and we are enjoying life at Etling Grove. It is a peaceful area and we feel very settled and enjoy the mix of older and younger people living on the development.
"All our dealings with the Taylor Wimpey staff at Etling Grove have been very helpful and friendly."
Keith's final bit of advice for anyone looking to buy a Taylor Wimpey home; "If anyone is thinking of buying a Taylor Wimpey home at Etling Grove, don't think about it - do it. Be proud to be a Taylor Wimpey home owner - we are."

Supporting the local community
We are very proud to announce our exciting collaboration with Toftwood Infant and Junior School, as they embark on a journey to preserve history. The collaboration aims to provide the young pupils with a unique opportunity to connect with history and envision a world beyond their own time.
A ceremony took place to plant a capsule which saw great enthusiasm and participation from pupils, who contributed various items and artefacts presenting their lives in 2023.
Buried on the grounds of Etling Grove in Dereham, and set to be opened in 50 years time, the time capsule was filled with a collection of items including: handwritten notes, drawings, and predictions the pupils had for the future.
