We donate over £43,000 to charities and community groups across Kent in 2025
In 2025, we were proud to donate over £43,000 to charities, schools, sports clubs and community groups across Kent, helping to support a wide range of local initiatives.
A highlight of the year was our annual charity golf day at Westerham Golf Club, which raised £37,000 for Amber, a charity supporting young people facing homelessness. This marked our third consecutive year supporting Amber’s Downsview centre in Kent.
Through our Community Chest initiative, we also awarded £1,000 to Chatham Royal Marines Cadet Unit, alongside sponsoring local events, supporting sports clubs, and donating books and resources to primary schools across the county.
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “From schools and sports teams, to community events and charities who provide vital support to people in need, giving back to local communities is at the heart of what we do. We’re pleased to have supported a range of good causes this year and we look forward to doing more of the same in 2026.”
Creative pupils give warm welcome to new residents
We teamed up with pupils at St. Martin's Primary School to design a welcome home card for new residents at Shorncliffe Heights. The winning design, created by Faye, age 11, is now given to homeowners when they receive their keys. Faye also received a £50 voucher as a thank you.
Faye said: “I loved designing my card and thinking about what would make people feel welcome in their new home. It’s amazing to see my artwork being used to greet new residents.”
Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “We were thrilled by the creativity shown by all the pupils at St. Martin’s Primary School. Choosing a winner was a real challenge, but Faye’s design stood out for its warmth and friendliness – it’s the perfect way to welcome new residents to Shorncliffe Heights.”
A fresh start by the sea at Shorncliffe Heights
After several years living in Ashford, Karl (32) and his fiancée Eleanor (29) were ready for a change. With their dream of wanting to live closer to the coast, the couple made the move to Folkestone and found their perfect home at the Shorncliffe Heights development.Karl explained: “We just dropped by one day as we were passing to scope it out and really liked the look of the show homes. The prices compared to Ashford also really appealed to us. From our first visit, we knew it was somewhere we could see ourselves living.”
Attracted by the nearby beach and harbour, Karl and Eleanor loved the idea of being able to enjoy local walks and spend time outdoors. Karl said: “Whenever we’ve been into town or down to the harbour, people have been welcoming and friendly. It already feels like somewhere we can see ourselves living comfortably long-term.”
The couple chose the four bedroom Ashbury, a townhouse that offered the flexibility and space they needed for their lifestyle. Karl explained: “We both work from home, so having enough space was really important. This house gives us exactly what we need – two offices, a spare room, and a comfortable bedroom with an en-suite. The layout gives us a nice separation between work and home life, which makes a big difference day to day.”
They were also impressed by the value and quality offered. Karl said: “The main reason we chose a new build was the value for money. Taylor Wimpey offered competitive pricing and great incentives, which really helped take some of the stress out of buying a home. We were also able to customise things like the kitchen and flooring, which made the house feel personal to us.”
Now settled in, Karl and Eleanor are enjoying everything Shorncliffe Heights has to offer. Karl said: “It feels welcoming and well laid out, with plenty of green areas for walks and easy access to the beach. Our favourite aspect is the overall look and feel of the neighbourhood – it’s modern, tidy, and a great environment to come home to.”
Reflecting on their experience, Karl added: “We’re really enjoying our new house, and it already feels like home. It’s been lovely adding our own finishing touches and seeing the space come to life in a way that reflects us. Overall, we’re very happy with the experience and grateful for the support from the Taylor Wimpey team.”
This is an incentivised testimonial.
