Frinton Frombles
Our London team members joined a band of committed volunteers to take part in a litter pick in Frinton-on-Sea.
12 of our team members, including Managing Director James Lidgate, joined volunteer group Frinton Frombles in their mission to keep the community clean by picking up litter around the railway station area and Frinton beach.
We are building new homes in Frinton at the Samphire Meadow development and decided to support the Frombles team with hi-vis jackets and a hand in their litter pick up venture.
The group collected 20 bags of litter and two large bags of recyclables, receiving plenty of encouragement and appreciation from the local community, who thanked the team and waved as they passed through the town.
Emily Lagadec, Frinton Frombles group leader, said: “We are truly grateful to Taylor Wimpey's donation towards our Frinton Frombles group and the high-vis jackets, as they play a vital role in our safety during the litter picks.
“The entire team was very happy to hear that Taylor Wimpey members were taking the initiative to join usa. Their proactive involvement helps our town to see that big companies can make a difference to local communities.”
James Lidgate, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey London, said: “We’re really thankful to the Frinton Frombles for giving us the opportunity to help them keep their beautiful home town clean. “Groups like this are vital to communities big and small. They aren’t just about tidying up. They demonstrate respect for our planet and help others to understand that the smallest actions, when multiplied across communities, yield great impacts.”

Key Worker Discount helps Essex couple find dream home in Frinton-on-Sea
A couple wanting to move ahead on the property ladder were able to afford their perfect four-bedroom home in Frinton-on-Sea thanks to our Key Worker discount.
Finding their dream home
Tilly Sharpe, 29, and Niall Rudd, 31, were keen to find a home that offered more space than their two-bedroom semi-detached house in Clacton-on-Sea. They wanted to stay by the seaside but weren’t sure if the four-bedroom property that they dreamed of was within their budget.
Thankfully Niall’s job as a teacher gave them the opportunity to benefit from Taylor Wimpey’s Key Worker Discount. The couple fell in love with the Samphire Meadow development in Frinton-on-Sea and, with the help of the discount, secured a spacious four-bedroom Waysdale home.
Samphire Meadow’s appealing green spaces, accessibility to the town centre and beachfront, and excellent transport links played a significant role in the couple’s decision.
Niall said: “We love that the development and the Waysdale home is really convenient for our lives. There are lots of green spaces available for nice walks and for our dog to run around. We not only have a supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away, but we’re also so close to the town centre, nice local cafes, parks, and the train station, which makes it an ideal location for us.”
“Our favourite features are the stunning kitchen diner, the beautiful big windows and our spacious garden. The L-shape of the home fascinated us. It provides us with light airy windows while also adding character impressing all our family and friends with its east and west wings.”
The process of buying with Taylor Wimpey was seamless and stress-free for Tilly and Niall. Niall added: "Taylor Wimpey guided us through every step, making the entire buying process easy and straightforward. Our concerns were addressed, and our journey to homeownership was smoother than we could have imagined. "The whole process from start to finish was plain sailing. Our Sales Executive Mandy could not have done enough for us considering how turbulent our house chain was. She stuck with us, was honest yet supportive and seemed to really empathise with us as she knew how much we had fallen in love with our plot.”
