We sponsor the Carols at Warwick Castle fundraising event
We proudly supported the Carols at Warwick Castle fundraising event, which took place on Saturday 20th December 2025, with an £800 sponsorship.Crowds gathered in Warwick Castle’s courtyard on the night to join in with St Mary’s Choir as they performed Christmas favourites with the Royal Spa Brass band.
Jonathan Wassall, President of The Rotary Club of Warwick, said: “This year’s Carols at Warwick Castle was a great success where the crowd enjoyed superb performances from St Mary’s Choir and Royal Spa Brass; all within the majestic courtyard of Warwick Castle. The charity organisers would like to thank Taylor Wimpey as one of the sponsors. These events are expensive to put on and having great sponsors means it is possible to take the risk of running the event, which helps to raise funds for local charities.”
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have supported the Carols at Warwick Castle event this year. Events like this not only bring the community together for an enjoyable evening during the Christmas period, but also raise vital funds for local charities, which truly represents the festive spirit.”
We bring the festive spirit to Warwick Hospital children’s ward
We brought the festive spirit to Warwick Hospital’s MacGregor Ward with a donation of Christmas decorations and toys for the children staying there this Christmas. We donated over £450 worth of new Christmas decorations to help bring Christmas to the children unable to spend it at home. On top of this, we also ordered over £900 worth of toys for the children to enjoy during their stay in the hospital.
Abbie Hanlon, Hospital Play Specialist at the MacGregor Ward at Warwick Hospital, said: “Thank you so much to Taylor Wimpey for all the wonderful Christmas decorations. It has been massively uplifting for our patients, families and staff. It’s been a while since we have had new Christmas decorations and these have made a huge difference. The children have been coming onto the ward excited to see it so festive.
“And a special thank you for the toys gifted to help our patients all year round and will give our play room a nice little update of new role play toys.”
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have supported Warwick Hospital this Christmas with these donations. We hope that it has helped bring the festive spirit to the patients staying at the MacGregor Ward over the festive season and put a smile on their face during their stay.”
We sponsor Warwick Town Bonfire for second year running
We sponsored Warwick Town Bonfire again this year with a £500 donation. The event, organised by the Warwick Lions, Warwick Rotary and Warwick Racecourse, took place on Saturday 1st November 2025. Over 4,000 visitors attended Warwick Racecourse to watch the bonfire, enjoy live music, hot food, stalls, and drinks at Chandlers Bar.The fireworks, arranged by Fantastic Fireworks, began at 6pm with a movie-themed display, followed by the main Halloween show.
Our donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding our Warwick developments. The funds raised from the event will go to charities supported by the Lions and Rotary Clubs in the local community.
“The Lions and Rotary Clubs depend on these events to raise money for charity, and continue our work.”
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have supported the Warwick Town Bonfire again this year. Events such as these not only provide a fun night out for locals to watch exciting firework shows and enjoy celebrating a tradition, but also raise vital funds for community groups.”
We donate meals to Warwick foodbank
We have supported Warwick District Foodbank for the fourth year running, donating 124.5kg of food as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities surrounding our Warwick developments. The foodbank aims to combat food poverty for people in crisis in Warwick, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth by providing three days' worth of nutritious emergency food to those referred to them.
Over a few weeks, we collected food and monetary donations at our head office in Warwick, gathering enough supplies for 40 parcels of emergency food for three days, along with a £55 boost for another food shop.
Miriam Bowen, Warehouse Manager and Session Leader at Warwick District Foodbank, said: “We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey Midlands for their ongoing support. This time of year often sees our supplies run low, and September is especially busy as the families we support face back-to-school costs on top of already stretched budgets. We rely on and appreciate the support of local businesses and Taylor Wimpey Midlands always delivers at our most critical times. A big thank you to everyone who contributed.”
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have supported Warwick District Foodbank again this year. We hope our donation will help families facing food poverty at what is already a financially difficult time of year, especially during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.”
We help to transform garden for local family
We were proud to support a special project to create a safe and accessible outdoor space for Liam, a young man with severe autism, at his home in Warwick. With Liam recently finishing college and set to spend more time at home, it became clear that he needed a space where he could enjoy the outdoors independently. Warwick Rotary Club Rotarian and architect, Laurie Day, came up with the idea to create a summerhouse, giving Liam a peaceful retreat within his own home. To make this possible, the entire garden needed to be upgraded.
Volunteers from Warwick Racecourse, Jaguar Land Rover and JP Property Services came together to upgrade the garden with new astroturf and paving, as well as installing Liam’s summerhouse which the club bought.
We were pleased to contribute towards the cost of the new paving. Kilrot funded the laying of the astroturf and Linleigh Electricals connected power to the summerhouse. All of these contributions showed a real community effort, which delighted the family.
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “At Taylor Wimpey, we’re committed to supporting the communities where we build, and it’s been a privilege to contribute to such a meaningful project. It’s been inspiring to see so many local organisations come together to support the O’Sullivan family, and we hope they enjoy their new garden space for many years to come.”
We donate road safety equipment to Busy Bees Warwick
Busy Bees Warwick has received a donation of road safety equipment from our Midlands team to help children stay safe on their journeys to and from the nursery. The donation includes clip-on backpack lights and high-vis vests, helping children and their parents stay visible during darker mornings and evenings. Copies of the children’s book This Is How We Stay Safe were also provided to the nursery to support early learning about road safety.
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have donated these items to Busy Bees. With the days being at their shortest during the winter months, children and their parents are more likely to be walking around at night, so it’s essential that they are equipped to make the journey as safe as possible. Understanding road safety from a young age is vital, and we’re pleased to support that.”
